CLIMBING SITE:
DWS (Deep water solo) is rock climbing that begins from the sea and ends with jumping or falling in the sea. This kind of climbing without belay or any equipment except the climbing shoes requires preparedness to fall in the sea and a lot of swimming and floating. This DWS rock is located in Rogoznica and it surrounds the lake Zmajevo Oko (Dragon’s Eye). It’s oriented mostly to the north, but since it surrounds the lake, one part of the rock is always in the sun, and another in the shade. Cliffs reach up to 24 meters in height, which makes them perfect for any type of climberss.
TOUR PLAN:
We start at the climbing tower Vertikala at 10AM, or we can arrange a meeting point on a parking lot in Rogoznica. Trip from Vodice to Rogoznica is a 45 minute drive, and the lake is right next to the parking lot. When we arrive there will be a quick lesson about DWS in general, and during the whole tour you will be accompanied by experienced instructors who will give you their full attention and consultation. We recommend that you bring a snack and water on the tour, 1 liter per person.
